Connecting with family members is very important, not just because it is an obligation, but it is what keeps the bonding strong. My grandparents are very tech-savvy, so we bond over Whatsapp and Skype for quick chatting and video calling. They like to video call a lot as they believe it helps them remain close to all despite living far off from one another. My other older relatives don’t really indulge much, except when their grandchildren connect with us and make them join while video calling. The practice of connecting through social media and technology started a few years back and was a chance mentioning of Whatsapp that got things started.
